How to make a perfect dome in Minecraft

1/8/12 UPDATE: Holy shit, 100k views, never expected that. I know this isn't the best video ever so if you have any questions please feel free to ask in the comments I always respond to comments when I can. ORIGINAL VIDEO DESCRIPTION: Some people asked for it so here it is, I tried to make it as quick as possible by cutting out boring parts and speeding up repetitive parts. EDIT: I am aware that this doesn't make a half-sphere, and isn't "technically" correct. It does however make a good looking dome and it is easier than making a half-sphere. This should not be follow exactly, it is merely an example of a method that I use to make domes, it can and should be adjusted to fit the size of dome that you are making. Minecraft Buildfest - Episode 1: Home Base

Twitter - bit.ly ------- Recently online competitive gameplay has become pretty un-eventful for me. With no TV to play COD: Black Ops on I instead turn my attention to the wonderful 16-bit magic of minecraft! This is the start of a new series, where I use the Minecraft Alpha (Not Infdev) on peaceful difficulty, to handcraft some truly epic creations to display to the public. This series is mainly about relaxation for me, though it may seem like it I am not doing this to impress people with my insane ÜBER minecraft skills. Each structure I build is hopefully going to have something new and challenging in each mix of ideas, that should hopefully inspire your own creations! This is my first shot at commentary so I hope my voice is ok! If anything in this building or any of my other creations snags your attention, and you don't know quite how to go about creating it then let me know in the comments OR via a message so I can make a tutorial for that particular feature! Minecraft Normandy SR2

I built the entire Normandy SR2 by hand. I had no plans going into this project and just made most of it up as I went. I started by making the basic interior design out of dirt, and I replaced them with the proper materials after. Once the interior was done, I built the exterior shell around it. I spawned most of the materials because it would've been nearly impossible to collect tens of thousands of iron and wool blocks. Even though materials were spawned, I placed every single block myself. The entire project took more than a hundred hours over the course of a couple months. Note: Through this project, I found the Mass Effect Normandy interior isn't really to proper scale with the exterior. As a result, this isn't a perfect recreation. The most notable difference is that the entrance is towards the middle of the ship rather than the front. [Minecraft] Timelapse of Velk'Sehra City (Part Four)

This is a current construction project happening on the Advent Exodus Minecraft Server. The city's formal name is Velk'Sehra. This is about 2-3 hours of footage. There hasn't been a release in a while due to the fact that the giant cylinder was not up to standard, despite us all agreeing that it would be a good idea before it was actually built. This is greatly due to the fact that the "palace/tower" is completely original and made up as we go along. I specifically wanted to have a clip of the cylinder being torn down to add to the end of the video just to inform the viewers that it was not remaining. Getting that clip took longer than I anticipated, due to the server going offline for about a week due to payment discrepancies. Being new to this, everything is a learning experience. We already learned that building multiple large things at once, is a bad idea. Future parts will consist of a better angle on one thing at a time, rather than trying to incorporate multiple things into one angle. ** Due to the low volume of likes/comments I respectfully request that viewers please comment. Minecraft Train Station Tutorial - Episode one - The Basics

Note: Sorry for the horrible commentary. First time making one and I was slightly nervous. Also it was 5:30 in the morning but I think it was the nervousness. I also tried making a little "script" to follow along so I know what to say and don't have big moments of silence. So if it seems very forced that's why.
