We just mined and screwed around to be honest. Thanks to /r/minecraft community for all the help and inspiration. This is on our private Minecraft SMP server. Took about a week to mine and build, and we have more that we would like to add. We mined it all from scratch, so it took longer but was more fun. We ended up terraforming a mountain next to our main base to clear the space, and it takes over 9000 blocks to construct. Well, probably over 9000.
